The Department of oral medicine and radiology is the only department
which offers an unique dual exposure to two fields (Oral Medicine &
Maxillofacial Radiology) combined into a single subject.
The department houses two sections which includes a Undergraduate
section and a postgraduate section.
Coming to the Oral Medicine wing: This wing has the state of art
advanced instrument set up which includes the Intra Oral Scanner,
the Trans Cutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation device (TENSE),
LASER, electric pulp tester, sialography cannula, illuminated mouth
mirrors, lacrimal probes, some chair side vital staining procedures
and biopsies for oral cancer detection etc.
Coming to the Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology wing: This wing houses
different X Ray machines starting from the Intra Oral Radiology set
up, Digital Radiography (R.V.G.), the Extra Oral Radiology machine,
Orthopantomogram machine (O.P.G.), Cone Beam Computed Tomography
machine (C.B.C.T.).
Coming to the Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology wing: This wing houses
different X Ray machines starting from the Intra Oral Radiology set
up, Digital Radiography (R.V.G.), the Extra Oral Radiology machine,
Orthopantomogram machine (O.P.G.), Cone Beam Computed Tomography
machine (C.B.C.T.).
The dynamic and highly trained staff undertakes regular discussions,
seminars, Case presentations etc. in both Postgraduate and
Undergraduate level.
There is different ongoing research activities, CDEs and important
day celebrations in the Department round the year.
The Overall Ambiance of The Department is extremely optimistic with
one to one interaction of The friendly staffs with their students.
